The major goal of the Xiong laboratory is to combine genetic, cellular, biochemical and proteomic approaches to determine the mechanisms of cell proliferation and tumorigenesis. Their three focuses are: (1) Control of cell cycle and tumor suppression by the ubiquitin pathway, (2) Tumor metabolism, and (3) Epigenetic control during tumorigenesis and innate immunity with an emphasis on the regulation of DNA de/methylation.
