Charles A. Janeway, Jr., MD
Dr. Janeway was one of the leading immunologists of his generation. His ideas formed many of the concepts that are the basis of immunology today. He made major contributions to the understanding of T lymphocyte biology and is renowned for his recent work on innate immunity, which is the body's first line of defense against infection.
