Alkynyl Secosterol B

Alkynyl secosterol B, a cholesterol ozonolysis product, is a surrogate for the natural sterol. It is formed upon aldol condensation of secosterol A. The alkyne moiety allows the compound to be reacted with a fluorescent or biotin label via copper-catalyzed click chemistry for visualization and/or enrichment techniques.
