pNCA-C-XN Moloney Murine Leukemia Virus (M-MuLV) Plasmid

This plasmid pNCA-C-XN encodes for the entire proviral genome of Moloney murine leukemia virus (Shinnick sequence).

Highlights

  • Difference from WT is the presence of a linker insertion at the C terminal region of pol gene resulting in premature truncation of the integrase protein by 23 amino acids
  • C terminus of the pol gene has a NotI restriction site, which allows for introduction of fusion tags

Murine leukemia viruses (MLVs or MuLVs) are retroviruses named for their ability to cause cancer in mouse hosts.
