This hybridoma line produces a rat anti-mouse CD71 monoclonal antibody (clone RI7 208.2).
CD71, also known as transferrin receptor protein 1 (TfR1), exists as a homodimer on the cell surface. It is essential for cellular growth and iron import from transferrin into cells. CD71 is expressed by immature proliferating cells and also at low levels on mature lymphocytes.
