Goat Anti-Parvalbumin Antibody

This goat IgG polyclonal antibody was generated against peptide sequence sequence C-GVDEFSTLVAES, from the C Terminus of the Parvalbumin (PVALB) protein sequence according to NP_002845.1, and recognizes human and rat PVALB .

Highlights:

  • Reacts with human and rat parvalbumin
  • Suitable for Peptide ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunofluorescence applications

Parvalbumin (PVALB) is a calcium-binding protein that is part of the EF-hand superfamily. It is structurally and functionally related to calmodulin and troponin C and found in fast-contracting muscles. Parvalbumin plays an important role in signal transduction in tissues such as muscles and neurons. This protein may play a role in diseases such as schizophrenia as well as food allergies.
