Subculturing: Can be passaged with trypsin per standard protocols
Growth Conditions: High-glucose DMEM (Invitrogen) supplemented with 10% fetal bovine serum, penicillin G (100 U/ml) and streptomycin sulfate (100 ug/ml) under a humidified atmosphere of 5% CO2 at 37C. Maintain selection with 100 ug/ml zeocin. Please note that HT-22 cells are resistant to G-418.
Cryopreservation: DMEM growth medium with 10% DMSO
Comments: This cell line can be used to express biotinylated proteins for chromatin precipitation sequencing, protein-protein interactions, etc. Transfect the cells with vectors that express fusion proteins containing the BIO peptide for biotinylation.
