Notes from the provider: L-15 works well, but the cells can be cultured in other media like DMEM and MEM. These cells can be cultured in unstripped FBS. The decision to strip thyroid hormones (using resin) or steroids (using charcoal) depends on what experiment one is doing (i.e., adding back the hormone to look at physiological or transcriptional responses).
