Fusarium graminearum, is a plant pathogen which causes fusarium head blight, a devastating disease on wheat and barley. the pathogen causes an infection that shifts the amino acid composition of wheat, resulting in shriveled kernels and contaminating the remaining grain with mycotoxins.
