Anti-phospho TIF1-beta (KAP1), Ser824 Antibody

This rabbit IgG polyclonal antibody was generated against a transcription intermediary factor 1-beta (TIF1-beta, KAP1) phospho-peptide and recognizes human KAP1 phosphorylated at Ser824.

Highlights:

  • Specific for human KAP1 phosphorylated at Ser824
  • Recommended for Western Blot applications

KAP1 is a nuclear corepressor for KRAB domain-containing zinc finger proteins. KAP1 recruits CHD3 and through this mediates gene silencing. KAP1 increases H3K9 methylation and disposes HP1 proteins to silence gene expression. Recruitment of SETDB1 by KAP1 induces heterochromatinization.
