This rabbit IgG polyclonal antibody was generated against LIM domain-containing protein ajuba (AJUBA) and recognizes mouse AJUBA.
AJUBA is a scaffold protein which is a part of numerous protein complexes and controls several cellular processes such as determination of cell fate, cytoskeletal organization, gene transcription, cell adhesion, differentiation, cell cycle and motility. AJUBA regulates Aurora A kinase during mitosis. AJUBA is an effector in IL-1 signaling pathway and is able to modulate IL-1-induced NFKB1 activation by regulating the integrity and activity of the PRKCZ-SQSTM1-TRAF6 multiprotein signaling complex. AJUBA is a HDAC-dependent corepressor for a subset of GFI1 target genes. AJUBA downregulates E-cadherin transcription in a SNAI1 and SNAI2/SLUG-dependent manner.
