Anti-Mercuric Reductase (MerA) [10A9] Antibody (supernatant)

This mouse monoclonal [10A9] antibody was generated against bacterial enzyme and is reactive against Mercuric ion reductase or MerA.

Highlights:

  • Reacts with Mercuric ion reductase or MerA
  • Suitable for ELISA applications

MerA is both an oxidoreductase enzyme and flavoprotein that catalyzes the reduction of Hg2+ to Hg0. MerA is found in the cytoplasm of many eubacteria in both aerobic and anaerobic environments. Its main role is to convert toxic mercury ions into its relatively inert elemental form.
