Fresh primary rat hepatocytes isolated from whole and resected liver tissue.

Rat hepatocytes are isolated fresh on a weekly basis and on demand. Our many years of experience enable us to consistently isolate fresh hepatocytes with a viability of 95 ± 3%. Scheduled isolations are from Lewis rats and various other strains (Sprague–Dawley, Wistar and more) can be requested. Our rat isolations show very high consistency and have been contract-research organization (CRO) certified for bile canalicular formation (CDFDA staining), excellent mitochondrial potential (TMRE; tetramethylrhodamine staining).
