The Murashov lab is interested in the mechanism of axon degeneration/regeneration. Specifically their studies involve (1) Epigenetic effect of exercise and high fat diet on offspring susceptibility to obesity and diabetes, (2) Micro RNAs in molecular mechanisms of peripheral nerve regeneration and axon growth and (3) Treating spinal cord injury with stem cells.
