The Dirksen laboratory focuses on unraveling the molecular details that determine normal ion channel function and regulation and how defects in these channels lead to human disease. A particular focus of the group is studying the structure and function of Ca2+ channels in the plasma membrane and sarcoplasmic/endoplasmic reticulum together with the consequences of these important signals for cell function.

The Investigator's Annexe Part of The Investigator's Annexe program.
