Rhamnogalacturonans (RGs) are a family of related cell wall pectic polysaccharides that contain a repeating backbone of a-D-GalpA-(1,2)-a-L-Rhap-(1), and carry diverse side chains that are attached to the Rha residues and are composed largely of arabinosyl and/or galactosyl residues.

Notes
MH4.4E4 binds strongly to Linseed mucilage. This antibody also binds weakly to rhamnogalacturonan-I preparations from multiple dicot plant species.
These monoclonal antibodies were developed under the sponsorship of the US National Science Foundation, through award number DBI-0421683.
