IFN-gamma Rec KO (129) Macrophage Cell Line

A knockout Interferon gamma receptor macrophage cell line isolated from bone marrow in 129 mice after immortalization with a retrovirus (J2) containing the myc and v-raf oncogenes.

The interferon-gamma receptor (IFNGR) protein complex is the heterodimer of two chains: IFNGR1 and IFNGR2. It binds interferon-γ, the sole member of interferon type II. 129 mice are widely used in the production of targeted mutations due to the availability of multiple embryonic stem cell lines derived from them. They also have a high incidence of spontaneous testicular teratomas.
