The Erickson laboratory focuses on two areas of research; 1) Vesicular glutamate transporters in the regulation of glutamate release, specifically studying synaptic vesicles that express VGLUT1 and VGLUT2 and 2) The role of neuronal glutamine transporters (SNAT family) in glutamatergic neurotransmission.
