L-3-Norbornylserine (NorI)

L-3-Norbornylserine (NorI) is an amino acid that acts a reaction partner in the tetrazine - norbornene click chemistry reaction.

Inverse electron demand Diels-Alder additions (iEDDA) has become a common "click chemistry" scheme, as a mild technique for the modification of materials. The amine- and carboxy functionalities make it an ideal linker for functionalizing diverse compounds using N-hydroxysuccinimide-ester and amine-carboxy coupling chemistry.
