Brn2 (Inducible Tet-On) Lentivirus

This lentivirus expresses BRN2 under the control of the Tet promoter.

BRN2 (also known as POU3F2) encodes a member of the POU-III class of neural transcription factors. The encoded protein is involved in neuronal differentiation and enhances the activation of corticotropin-releasing hormone regulated genes. Overexpression of this protein is associated with an increase in the proliferation of melanoma cells.

Comments

NOTE: This Inducible Tet-On lentivirus does not contain the reverse tetracycline-controlled transactivator (rtTA) protein, which is required for the Tet-On system. Unless the cells used stably produce rtTA, it is necessary to cotransduce this lentivirus with a rtTA lentivirus (rtTA (CMV, neomycin) Lentivirus or rtTA (CMV, puromycin) Lentivirus.
