Anti-Schistosoma mansoni Circulating Cathodic Antigen (CCA) [5F4.B4] Antibody (supernatant)

This mouse IgG1k monoclonal antibody was generated against peptide and is specific for the Circulating Cathodic Antigen (CCA) serum of individuals infected with low levels of Schistosoma mansoni.

Highlights:

  • Reacts with CCA of S. mansoni
  • Recommended for ELISA applications

Schistosoma mansoni is one of three parasitic neglected tropical diseases that causes Schistosomiasis. Infection occurs when your skin comes in contact with contaminated freshwater in which certain types of snails that carry schistosomes are living. Circulating cathodic antigen (CCA) can be used as a diagnostic tool by being present in urine in infected patients with S. mansoni.
