Anti-Cortactin [4F11] Antibody

This mouse IgG1 monoclonal antibody was generated against a mixture of affinity-purified tyrosine phosphoproteins from chick embryo fibroblasts expressing activated pp60src, and recognizes Cortactin (CTTN).

Highlights:

  • Reacts with 80 kDa and 85 kDa CTTN in avian cells, and 80 kDa protein in rodent and human cells
  • Suitable for Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry applications

Cortactin (CTTN) is a thin, elongated monomeric protein located in the cytoplasm. It contributes to the organization of the actin cytoskeleton and cell shape. CTTN is important promoting lamellipodia formation, invadopodia formation, cell migration, and endocytosis. It is overexpressed in breast cancer and squamous cell carcinomas of the head and neck.
