Sr Accountant/Analyst - Boston, MA or St. Louis, MO

JOB SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:


The Senior Accountant/Analyst will be responsible for monthly closing activities for the US sites as well as assist with consolidated sales reporting and analysis for the global company.   This role will support the US finance team by coordinating, preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual business reporting.


Responsibilities include:


•    Responsible for month, quarter and year end accounting close activities, including transactions reviews, journal entries and reconciling accounts
•    Responsible for royalty calculations and payments for all sites
•    Work closely with the sales team to provide financial analysis as needed
•    Assist in managing the actual and projected cash flow reporting
•    Responsible for monitoring and reporting Accounts Receivable aging, including credit collection for overdue accounts
•    Prepare financial analysis focused on commentary and interpretation of results
•    Process credit card payments and post vendor payments
•    Analyze historical and forecast data to perform trend analysis
•    Identify opportunities to improve processes and initiate activities to implement improvements
•    Provide support for special projects/analysis as needed

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:


•    Strong business acumen and judgement
•    Financial analysis, planning and reporting skills that generate business insights that add measurable value
•    Excellent interpersonal communication (both written and verbal) and presentation skills
•    Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment and capable of gaining commitment and coordinate action for initiatives
•    Strong organization skills and ability to prioritize workload
•    Ability to develop and manage processes that are effective and efficient
•    Proven ability to work with professional discretion and confidential information
•    Travel Requirements up to 10-15%, mostly US-based


EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:


•    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA or MBA preferred
•    Big 4 experience preferred
•    At least 3-5 years in  Accounting and/or FP&A positions required
•    Advanced desktop application experience Microsoft Power point, Excel, Word, and Access
