Research in the Sampson laboratory focuses on understanding the relationship between protein structure and protein function and synthesizing chemical tools to probe and control biological function. Work is ongoing in three different areas: (1) Precision Polymer Synthesis for Studying Fertilization and Cholera Intoxication, (2) Lipid-Protein Interactions, and (3) Tuberculosis Drug Discovery and Diagnosis through Mycobacterial Steroid Metabolism.
