Dr. French is Director of the Human Pluripotent Stem cell (PSC) Core within the Center for Cellular and Molecular Therapeutics at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. This core was established in 2008 with the mission to provide expertise and quality-control reagents for culture and differentiation of PSCs to the research communities. Over 200 normal and disease-specific iPSC lines have been generated in which normal reference lines are available for distribution to the research community. In addition to working with investigators to design new protocols tailored for their individualized research, the Core provides a hands on training course to gain expertise in the growth, maintenance, expansion, and cryopreservation of human PSCs.
