Anti-Cullin-4A (CUL4A) Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal antibody was generated against a chemically synthesized peptide, with the sequence ERDKDNPNQYHYVA, corresponding to human Cullin-4A (CUL4A) and recognizes human and mouse CUL4A.

Highlights:

  • Recognizes human and mouse CUL4a
  • Suitable for Immunohistochemistry, Immunofluorescence and Western Blot applications

CUL4A belongs to the cullin family of ubiquitin ligase proteins. It is a core component of multiple cullin-RING-based E3 ubiquitin protein ligase complexes, which mediate the ubiquitination of target proteins. Cul4A is highly homologous to the CUL4B protein. The functional specificity of the E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complex depends on the variable substrate recognition component. Some of the specific CUL4A substrates are p53, DDB2, p21, Cdt1 and HOXA9. CUL4A regulates numerous key processes such as DNA repair, cellular proliferation, chromatin remodeling, spermatogenesis, haematopoiesis and the mitotic cell cycle. CUL4A deregulation plays role in viral pathogenesis and carcinogenesis. Cul4A gene has been found amplified in many cancers.
