Anti-Chondroitin Sulfate Proteoglycan 4 (CSPG4) [ME313] Antibody

This mouse IgG1 monoclonal antibody was generated against WM46 melanoma cells and recognizes human chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan 4 (CSPG4).

Highlights:

  • Specific for human CSPG4
  • Suitable for Western Blot applications

Melanoma-associated chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan, encoded by CSPG4 gene, is a surface marker for melanoma, astrocytoma and a variety of head and neck cancers. CSPG4 stabilizes cell-substratum interactions during early events of malignant melanoma cell growth on basal membrane. CSPG4 is an integral membrane chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan protein, 260 kDa of mass, yet may migrate slower on gels depending on glycosylation status.
