Anti-Steroid 5-alpha-reductase 1 (SRD5A1) Antibody

This rabbit IgG polyclonal antibody was generated against a multiple antigen peptide and is specific for human steroid 5-alpha-reductase 1 (SRD5A1).

Highlights:

  • Reacts with human SRD5A1 (epitope: RNRQTNSVYGRHALPSHRLR)
  • Suitable for for Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry applications

Steroid 5-alpha-reductase 1 (SRD5A1) is an enzyme that converts testosterone to the more potent dihydrotestosterone in the prostate. Levels of SRD5A1 are increased in prostate cancer compared to benign tissue. It also plays a role in sexual differentiation and androgen physiology.
