Serum-Free DME/F12 Medium

The Serum-Free DME/F12 Medium allows for the growth of a variety of kidney epithelial cell lines as well as primary cultures of kidney tubule epithelial cells, in the absence of fibroblast overgrowth.

Highlights:

  • Serum-Free – insulin, transferrin, triiodothyronine (T3), hydrocortisone, prostaglandin E1 (PGE1), and selenium additives allow for robust growth in the absence of FBS
  • Shown to work well with Madin-Darby canine kidney (MDCK), M1 mouse collecting duct, human proximal tubule HK1, and opossum kidney OK cell lines, as well as with primary kidney tubule epithelial cells
