MaineSpring™ Ultrapure Bioreagents and Buffers start from Nature’s purest source of water, the very same aquifer as the world-famous Poland Spring® Natural Spring water. Created by a retreating glacier 20,000 years ago, this aquifer is continuously fed by water from sparklingly clear Maine rainfall and melting snow, where the water percolates through layers of fine sand and gravel to produce pure spring water that is naturally salt-free.

From there, at our location in Sanford, Maine,  MaineSpring™ water undergoes an extensive multi-step treatment process, including filtration pretreatment, reverse osmosis, UV treatment, microfiltration and deionization.  The result is the highly purified cell biology and molecular biology-grade water used in all our bioreagent, buffer and solution products.

Finally all of our products must pass our rigorous Quality Standards Testing such as for nucleases, endotoxin, etc., as required, before we allow them to bear the MaineSpring™ name.
